Human destinies in dilapidated domik area (video)

Social

The abrupt changes in temperature and severe colds have turned life into a real struggle for survival for some Gyumri residents still living in domiks (temporary shelters in abject conditions). It is already the second year Gyumri-based Shirak Center NGO, with assistance from overseas benefactor individuals and organizations, has been rendering assistance to socially vulnerable families in Gyumri by giving them clothes, firewood and food. Unfortunately, we often meet orphans in theses rundown metal shacks who have been left under the care of elderly people. The video tells the story of a 13-year-old girl and her disabled grandmother living in a dilapidated tnak (domik).
