SUCCESSFUL ECONOMIC TURN OR ILLEGAL CONTRACT?
Support A1+!Government considers the formulae on “Property for Debt” as a successful economic turn and the contract concluded with Russia as a good one.
The bargain caused some issues over Armenian–Russian relations about MP Manuk Gasparyan. “For example, Moldova’s debt to Russia is 870 million $. But Russia doesn’t make it pay the debt as soon as possible. So why does Russia treat us that way?” . But Gasparyan is pleased with the deal in general.
During the discussion between Government and Parliament MP Arshak Sadoyan demanded namely the PM to answer under what Law the debt was paid by property. “Shouldn’t we see the contract or did you make the deal illegally?” . But PM didn’t answer his question.
Vartan Khachatryan performing the PM’s instructions and constitutional due, answered MP’s question: “We couldn’t introduce the contract to Parliament without signing it. It is signed already and will be brought to Parliament in a few days. You may not to ratify it and it won’t come into force. So the debt of 100 million $ will be left to the generations” , he said.
