ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT PAYS DEBT

Economy

Armenian Government made Thursday a decision on last year’s 13-billion budget debt repayment. 7 billions are already paid, Economy and Finance Minister Vardan Khachatryan says. 1999 and 2001 debt is to be paid thanks to IMF credit, which so far isn’t received.

Vardan Khachatryan didn’t answer the question how much Armenia’s offshore debt makes.

Central Bank President Tigran Sargsyan submitted a draft law on amendments to be made in the Law on Banks for the Cabinet consideration.

According to UN resolution, all countries are obliged to take measures against financial terrorism. They should freeze those assets that used for funding terrorism. All banks across the world have received a list of those providing financial support to terrorist organisations.

So far not a single listed accounts have been found in Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan says.
