FACTORY OF UNDERWEAR FOR WOMEN
Support A1+!Italy's Ambassador to Armenia is displeased with the present phase of commodity turnover of 2 countries though Italian businessmen are actively involved in various fields of economy of Armenia. E.g. in "Tosp" enterprise of light industry a new workshop was set up today for production of underwear for women. The products made in Armenia by Italian equipment, cutting-outs, models and stuff are planned to be sold in the foreign market only .
"Demand in inner market of Armenia is satisfied by cheap and imported products of poor quality" ,- says the head of the Department of Light Industry of Industry Ministry. He also says Armenia's labour power and the prime cost of products made in here are cheap and that's why foreigners are interested in commencing their business in Armenia .
As to the above workshop the Italians are sure the initiative will produce good results. Italian and Charencavan's clothes factory have been cooperating for 4 years. 5000 underwear are planned to be produced monthly in "Tosp". The contract will be extended and volume of production will grow depending on the expected results.
Italians don't want to make public the amount of their investments made. As regards Armenia's light industry branch in general results of this part of the year are lower those expected according to the head of the department. It is conditioned by lack of some orders.
