CRIMINAL ELEMENTS IN "ARARAT" FACTORY

Economy

5 years ago investor Khachik Simonyan decided to make investments in "Ararat" wine and brandy factory in Yerevan. From that time, Samvel Tadevosyan who had been appointed the chairman of shareholders' commitee of the factory by Khachikyan and 6 other investors, had closed the factory gates to the 7 investors. The Armenian businessmen from Diaspora who have made investments of about $ 1.000.000 suspect of Samvel Tadevosyan to have robbed the factory .

The representative of 7 investors in Armenia Sargis Hatspanyan is having 10 Court verdicts but he doesn't succeed to enter the factory zone to check the efficiency of the investments of $ 1.000.000. "This factory is the only place in Armenia where the State possesses brandy resources and I don't know whether any is left. There are criminal elements here",- he says.

Mr. Hatspanyan described those, as he thinks, standing behind the back of the governing body of factory as "dark powers". "They are not Armenians, they are not Armenians by birth and want to possess the factory, they want to bring Armenia to its knees!",- he says.

Before the 2-nd conference on "Armenia-Diaspora" Khachik Simonyan is looking for ways to possess the functioning factory with his own means. "Shall we go to fight armed and shed blood?"

By the way, in 1975 the Armenian emigrants in America informed Khachikyan what the country he was making investments in was like. "So, brother, did you leave for Armenia? We had told you not to do that, they will swindle you".
